"How much panel do I need for one wet room?"
We get asked this before anything else, and the honest answer is: measure
the walls, then add for waste. Here is the order that works.
1. Measure each wall separately. Height x width, wall by wall - do not
multiply the room's perimeter by one height. A wet room almost always
has one wall that runs short because of a window, a duct or a doorway,
and that wall is the one that changes the total.
2. Take the ceiling height at its lowest point. Floors and ceilings are
never perfectly parallel in a renovation. Measure at the high side and
the last panel on every wall comes up short.
3. Add 8-10% for cuts. Corners, sockets, the shower valve, the pipe
boxing - every opening is a cut, and an offcut rarely fits anywhere
else. One wall with an awkward return can eat more than the percentage
suggests.
4. Count trims by the run, not by the room. Internal corners, external
corners, end caps and the ceiling line are linear. It is the most
undercounted item in every wet room we quote.
5. Order the whole room in one batch. Panel shade can differ between
production batches. Splitting one room across two orders is the fastest
way to end up with a wall that does not match itself.
Measure twice, add the waste, then send the numbers.
