Soundproofing panels achieve sound insulation through specific structural designs and material properties. For example, Anyang Mengshang Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.'s patent uses multi-layered soundproofing panels stacked together, combined with air layers, damping layers, and high-density core materials, effectively absorbing and dissipating sound energy and improving sound insulation performance. Zhongzheng Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd.'s patent uses a soundproofing layer with an internal honeycomb structure, pyramids, and sound-absorbing grooves, allowing sound waves to be reflected multiple times, converting some sound wave energy into heat energy, further enhancing the sound insulation effect. In addition, high-quality soundproofing materials typically have high density (e.g., greater than 60 kg/m³), tight installation requirements, and their sound insulation performance is evaluated based on the STC value (e.g., at least STC50 for residential partition walls).

 

Some soundproofing panels on the market are made by installing a rubber layer, vibration damping material, or sound insulation felt between two panels. While this method can improve sound insulation to some extent in the short term, its effectiveness gradually decreases over time. As is well known, materials such as rubber will slowly age in the air, causing them to harden and lose elasticity, thus gradually reducing their sound insulation effect over time. On the other hand, the practice of installing a rubber layer or sound insulation felt layer between two boards is also very expensive.
