In the home decoration and building materials industry, integrated wall panels have gained attention due to their convenient installation and diverse styles. Among them, marble-look UV panels, as a type of laminated panel, have become a popular choice for interior decoration due to their high gloss, wear resistance, environmental friendliness, and flame retardancy. These panels use stone-plastic composites as the core material, and the surface is treated with UV curing technology to create wood grain or marble textures, retaining the visual effect of natural materials while improving practical performance through technological optimization.
Material Composition and Process Principle
The core structure of marble-look UV panels consists of three layers: the bottom layer is a stone-plastic composite core material, made of a mixture of PVC and natural stone powder, combining lightweight and stability; the middle layer is a laminated substrate, where the decorative film is tightly bonded to the core material through a hot-pressing process; the surface layer uses a UV-cured coating, which cures rapidly after being irradiated by ultraviolet light, forming a high-hardness, wear-resistant, transparent protective layer. This process gives the panel a surface hardness of 3H or higher, significantly better scratch resistance than ordinary coatings, while avoiding the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found in traditional paints.
Functional Characteristics and Technical Advantages
In terms of performance, this board achieves functional upgrades through multiple technical indicators. Its Class B flame-retardant properties originate from the mineral composition of the stone-plastic core material, with a fire resistance temperature reaching 1580℃~1770℃, meeting the fire safety requirements for interior decoration. The apparent density of 1000kg/m³ ensures structural strength while controlling the board's weight, facilitating handling and installation. Parameters such as a shear strength parallel to the grain of 500MPa and a compressive strength parallel to the grain of 500MPa indicate that it can withstand significant external forces without deformation, making it suitable for scenarios with low load-bearing requirements, such as walls and feature walls. Furthermore, the board's zero moisture content effectively avoids cracking or deformation caused by humidity changes.
Application Scenarios and Usage Standards
As a specialized interior decorative material, the marble-look UV board is suitable for wall decoration in living rooms, bedrooms, studies, and other spaces. During installation, ensure the ambient temperature is between 5℃ and 35℃ to prevent the adhesive from weakening due to low temperatures. The standard board size is 1200*2400mm, which can be cut to size as needed, but carbon steel tools must be used to prevent edge chipping. While the high-gloss surface enhances aesthetics, avoid direct scratches from sharp objects; daily cleaning can be done with a soft cloth. Due to its relatively weak thermal insulation, it is not recommended for areas requiring insulation, such as balconies or unenclosed terraces.
Environmental Friendliness and Design Diversity
The environmental friendliness of this board is reflected in two dimensions: firstly, no glue is added during the production process, reducing the release of harmful substances such as formaldehyde; secondly, the UV coating on the surface forms a dense structure after curing, further reducing the risk of pollutant volatilization. In terms of design, the board offers various marble-like textures such as Tianshan Red, Stepped White Jade, and Sea Blue Sandstone, as well as wood-grain styles, to match different decorating styles such as modern, minimalist, and light luxury. Its one-piece molding process ensures a natural and continuous surface texture, avoiding color differences at joints.
