The installation steps for a PVC ceiling are: marking lines, installing main beams, installing wooden joists, and installing panels.

1. Marking Lines

First, mark the elevation lines around the perimeter of the wall and fix the trim strips at both ends of the wall with cement nails. Mark the perimeter of the wall according to the standard height as the standard line for ceiling installation; an error of 5mm is permissible.

2. Installing Main Beams

Fix the edge joists along the elevation lines with cement nails to determine the joist position lines, and then install the joists. (Note that for small kitchens or bathrooms, joists may not be necessary; for larger ceilings, joists can be laid in the middle.) When installing the joists, ensure that an exit point for lighting wires is left.

3. Installing Wooden Joists

When installing the joists, ensure that the joists around the perimeter of the wall are level. Regarding ceiling spacing, generally, it should be 1200 to 1500 mm for non-accessible ceilings and 900 to 1200 mm for accessible ceilings.

4. Panel Installation

Before installing the panels, the installed keel, panel materials, and boards should be inspected to ensure they meet requirements before proceeding. The installation direction of PVC panels is determined by the length of the panel. If the horizontal and vertical material usage is roughly the same, the panels should be installed in the direction of the light.
